Hi, I’m Kate — the face behind What Kate Likes Photography. I’m a fashion photographer based in Teesside also covering North Yorkshire and beyond.

With over six years of experience behind the lens, my passion lies in capturing the elegance, edge, and authenticity of fashion through a candid and editorial approach. I hold an NCFE Level 2 qualification in photography and proudly serve on the media team for York Fashion Week. I’ve also had the exciting opportunity to attend London Fashion Week, which further sharpened my eye for high-fashion storytelling.

My love for photography began with a deep appreciation for visual art and a lifelong passion for fashion. I’m inspired by movement, natural moments, and the details that often go unnoticed — creating bold, stylish imagery that feels honest and alive.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of building strong, ongoing relationships with designers and creatives. I believe collaboration is at the heart of truly impactful photography, and I work closely with designers to bring their vision to life — whether that’s through lookbooks, backstage coverage, campaign shoots, or runway highlights. Understanding their creative intent allows me to capture their work in a way that feels both artistic and true to their brand.

While fashion is my specialty, I also shoot in other areas of photography, always with the same care, passion, and attention to detail. Whether it’s a professional project or a personal portrait, my goal is to make people feel confident, comfortable, and seen.
